About Seven-Minute Cinemas
Seven-Minute Cinemas is an independent film & video company whose primary function is to further the short film & video genre. The name of the company refers to the attention span of the average American audience: seven minutes (according to psychology textbooks written over twenty years ago).
It is the intention of 7MC to provide exceptional support in the creation of short films & videos through every stage: pre-production, production, and post-production. 7MC also recognizes the exciting future of the Internet, and considers it an excellent resource for showing short works. In the future, 7MC hopes to offer its website as a venue and/or link to other film & videomakers who wish to display their art.
In addition, 7MC has been assisting in the production of short videos designed specifically for web-based presentation. In particular, 7MC has been actively working with educational companies, such as LessonLab, Inc. and CUNY/GEAR UP, providing web-based information/resources to American educators and students.
